    We are searching for a Systems Engineer who is passionate about unmanned systems

    The ideal candidate can effectively apply systems engineering methods and skills to manage the development of autonomous software systems throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle.


    Responsibilities:

    • Manage software projects with a unique blend of systems engineering and agile software processes.
    • Lead teams of software developers in the preparation, planning, and management of contracted deliverables.
    • Generate and manage software requirements based on contract requirements and stakeholder needs.
    • Create user stories with input from key stakeholders.
    • Determine and manage tasks, issues, risks, and action items across projects.
    • Monitor progress and performance while helping teams to make improvements.
    • Plan and organize product testing, reviews, and demos.
    • Ensure proper use of collaborative processes/tools and remove impediments for software developers.
    • Use Jira to track project processes and deliverables.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including program CONOPs, software architecture, project requirements, V&V test plans and procedures, decision records, and user guides.
    • Support flight test, as required

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, or related field;
    • 3-5 years of experience in a Systems Engineering role;
    • Experience in GIT version-control software;
    • Experience with project management/tracking tools, such as Jira, Confluence, and/or MS Project.
    • Experience with the Systems Engineering concepts of requirements analysis, system architecture, system integration, verification and validation, and lifecycle management.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with team members, internal leadership, and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects and assignments.
    • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new domains, technologies, and priorities.
    • Excellent time management and organization skills.
    • US Citizenship required;
    • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in computer science/ programming or related field;
    • Knowledge of scrum and agile software processes;
    • Experience with MBSE;
    • Experience with an object-oriented programming language;
    • Active DoD Secret Clearance

    Travel:


    This position will likely involve travel to customer and non-customer sites principally in North America (up to 20%) but global travel is also possible.


    Other Criteria:


    Strongly prefer domicile near the Boston/Cambridge metro area but will consider non-local domicile – relocation to Boston area part of compensation package, if necessary.

    Security clearance (active or previous) or the ability to be granted one desired.

    Salary Range:
    $100,000 - $165,000 per year
