Corporate Quality Engineer
Job Description
The Corporate Quality Engineer Automotive is responsible for working with OEMs and/or Tier 1 suppliers to resolve quality issues during product development and throughout the program lifetime.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to address quality issues during product development and program lifecycle.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to minimize defects and failure rates.
Establish containment activities at customer locations to address quality concerns.
Perform product testing and field analysis to ensure quality standards are met.
Support global meetings virtually and provide hands-on technical support including software debugging, soldering, and firmware updates.
Travel within the USA and Mexico (15-20%) as needed to support quality issues related to GM business.
Compile and present reports on root cause analysis and defect analysis using lab diagnostics equipment.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
5+ years of quality experience in the automotive industry with expertise in APQP.
Experience with Center Stack Displays, HVAC Switches, and Instrument Cluster Displays as automotive electronic components.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with BarTender barcode software.
Thorough understanding of GM manufacturing processes and experience working with GM's Supplier portal.
Ability to collect data logs and compile reports on root cause analysis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with BarTender Barcode Software is a plus.
Familiarity with diagnostics equipment and QNX is advantageous.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $ $50.00/hr.
