Summary

Provides occupational therapy and rehabilitation services that include assessment, development of treatment goals and plans, and direct intervention to assist students aged from newborns to young adults in acquiring functional and independent life skills.

The Occupational Therapist is a professional health care provider requiring registration and state licensure.

The Occupational Therapist serves as part of a multi-skilled care team, working directly with and serving as a case manager for physically and psycho-socially disabled students and their family members with a goal of developing individualized programming based on occupational performance deficits in the areas of personal care, student role, interaction, and process skills, play, and community integration/work.

Advancement to this position requires current Occupational Therapy registration and state licensure.

Education and Experience

The position requires a Master's degree from an accredited university and curriculum and two years of experience working with disabled youths in an educational or pediatric environment.

Licenses and Certificates

Requires a valid driver's license. Valid registration by the American Occupational Therapy Association, a license to practice in California, and proof of continuing education.
