    JOB SUMMARY:
    #Provides respiratory care therapy and treatments to patients, with emphasis in critical care or specialty areas, with deficiencies of the cardio-pulmonary system as ordered in accordance with established standards and practices

    REQUIREMENTS:
    #Graduate of an approved AMA Respiratory Therapy program.##

    Qualified by education, training or experience to work with the neonate, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patient population as specialty assignment dictates.

    Exhibits knowledge of respiratory care as skills and maintain clinical competency to administer therapeutic gases, aerosol treatments and EKGs as directed.

    ##

    Demonstrates skill in the use of applicable equipment; mature judgment and initiative required; shows professional interest through self-development, continuing education, and involvement in professional organizations; presents a positive attitude and professional appearance.

    ##

    Ability to give and follow written and oral instructions; ability to communicate effectively with others; ability to react and perform under stress in emergency situations; ability to effectively record and reflect observations; ability to exercise analytical judgment on work to be done.

    # One or more years of RRT experience in an ICU or LTAC setting is preferred #

    LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION:
    ##TN state licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.##Current CPR certification.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
    #Prolonged standing, walking, lifting, pushing and bending; subject to hazards of flammable and explosive gases; frequent exposure to infectious agents; ability to set-up, operate and maintain support machines.##Medium Work#- Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force freq
