Company Overview:
Join a dynamic and rapidly expanding $100M+ manufacturing company located in North County San Diego. We are seeking a talented Senior Cost Accountant to join our finance team.

This role reports to the Senior Finance Manager and offers a long term growth path to manager and eventually Controller over time.

Position Overview :

The Senior Cost Accountant will play a critical role in our finance department, responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and reporting on cost data to support decision-making processes.

This position will focus on analyzing manufacturing costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and providing insights to optimize operational efficiency

Job Responsibilities
Analyze manufacturing costs and variances to ensure accuracy and compliance with budgetary constraints
Prepare and maintain cost accounting records and reports, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
Develop and implement cost accounting methodologies, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, operations, and procurement, to gather relevant cost data and insights.
Conduct regular cost analyses to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
Prepare month-end and year-end cost accounting reports and reconciliations.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities related to manufacturing costs.
Provide recommendations to management on cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in cost accounting .

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or technology environment.
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, methodologies, and practices.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and financial reports.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and precision in work output.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
