    In support of the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) Asset Reporting Services (ARS) Technical Support Services contract, provide account management, systems resources management, operating systems management, installation, configuration management, troubleshooting, cyber security, information assurance, and subject matter expertise. These tasks will be conducted within a virtualized lab environment for later transfer to production environments through the USMC.

    Essential Duties & Job Functions:

    • Provide system administration support for Flexera Data Platform, an asset discovery data consolidation solution, in both production and non-production lab environments.
    • Maintain systems configurations for the Flexera Data Platform, IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT) applications in production and non-production Windows Server environments.
    • Plan and coordinate the installation, configuration and implementation of the Flexera Data Platform and ILMT application upgrades.
    • Provide systems administration support plans for high impact activities in a VMware virtual environment such as: operating system upgrades, virtual machine migrations, application troubleshooting and maintenance, implementation and evaluation of applications supporting the Asset Reporting Services' (ARS) objectives.
    • Manage virtual machine system resources including performance, capacity, and availability of virtual machine and end user device assets (as needed) within the virtual lab environment.
    • Manage and maintain a Windows Server infrastructure in the VMware virtual lab environment by: maintaining a PKI solution (root and subordinate certificate authority), managing user accounts and group permissions, supporting creation and maintenance of GPO's, maintaining a Microsoft Active Directory, server security patching and upgrades, server resource management, IP address and DNS management, systems configuration, virtual machine template creation and troubleshooting support.
    • Install, configure, test, and maintain templates for Windows Server 2019 (and later) with some Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) server administration to support applications.
    • manage the installation and integration of systems fixes, updates, enhancements and to provide root cause analysis when necessary to address configuration changes.
    • Ensure cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices are an integral element of the ARS operating environment. This is specifically referring to the practice of applying Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) to Windows Servers, IIS Web Servers and other applications.
    • May be required to support Risk Mitigation Framework (RMF) Certification and Accreditation (C&A) requirements for employing new application capabilities on Government systems.
    • Support ARS Database Administrators (DBAs) in the installation, configuration, and resource management for Microsoft SQL Servers.
    • Provide expert advice to the Government regarding critical data storage and recovery processes.
    • Fully support end user devices by supporting post-imaging processes to configurate Windows 11 (or later) operating systems, provide software installation, system troubleshooting and end-user support for ARS team members.
    • Cooperation with external partners, including consultants, agencies, and vendors, to troubleshoot system issues, integrate various hardware appliances and software tools, and to assist with system integration design solutions, maintaining a current knowledge of relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
    • Participate in the documentation of repeatable processes while supporting policy development and professional reports.
    • Provide quality control reviews for standardized report formats, developing and implementing local procedures and guidelines for systems administration in the form of standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Mandatory:

    • Must be a US citizen
    • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance
    • BS degree in related field desired, or 5 years of related experience
    • 2+ years' experience with MCEN environment
    • COMPTIA Security+ CE
