    Description

    Summary:

    This position is responsible for orienting and training,evaluating, and scheduling pharmacy technicians as well ascoordinating workflow and assuring the quality of pharmacyoperations in collaboration with the pharmacist supervisors andmanagers.

    Responsibilities:


    • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUSCompetencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader ofLeaders.

    • Maintains consistency with Administrativeand Departmental policies with appropriate behavior, dress,attitude, attendance, confidentiality, professionalism, andreliability

    • Participates in training of new associatesin all areas related to the dispensing technologies pharmacyoperating system and processing third party insurance claims

    • Coordinates the maintenance of unit-based dispensing useraccess and request/education documentation

    • Performsoutpatient distributive functions related to entering prescriptionsorders, selecting the correct medications for new and refilledprescription orders, and coordinates delivery of medications forpatient pick-up or delivery

    • Advanced knowledge ofinventory control policies and procedures to ensure that areas areclean, medications are in date, and proper inventory levels aremaintained with formulary or contract approved drugs

    •Cross trained in the areas of Pharmacy Buyer and capable ofperforming these duties when necessary

    • PerformsQuality Assurance duties related to the quality of work produced bythe Retail pharmacy associates

    • Such activitiesinclude, but are not limited to the following: monitoring adversedrug events, maintain inventory par levels, POS cash management,competencies of the Certified Pharmacy Technician staff, andCustomer service

    • Serves as a leader in the RetailPharmacy offering suggestions for the improving the efficiency ofthe area, training new personnel, and promoting a positive attitudeto work and respect for co-workers

    Requirements:

    • High School Diplomarequired
    • 4 – 6 years of technicalexperience
    • 0 – 2 years of Leadership/Management experience
    • CPHT NATLrequired
