    **Chief Security Officer**

    As our **Chief Security Officer** for Bestow, you will lead a team and be responsible for our information security, privacy, business continuation/disaster recovery, and physical security for our company, employees, and facilities. We are looking for a leader with strategic vision who can take our fast-growing company to the next level

    **We ideally would like this person to be located in Dallas or Austin, TX, but are open to Remote for the right candidate.** **ABOUT THE ROLE**

    + Ensures strong cybersecurity processes and protocols are in place and effective

    + Facilitates the development of a strategic roadmap for maturing the cybersecurity posture of the company

    + Works across company functions to advise on technology risk while enabling business processes to achieve success

    + Responsible for protecting the information, system, financial and physical assets of the enterprise (cash, facilities, and equipment) and mitigating potential risks involved in the loss of intangibles (reputation), intellectual property, and trade secrets

    + Leads the design and implementation of company security strategy, taking into account the business strategy, complex regulations and rating agency expectations

    + Develops talent within their team to deliver performance and results, including identifying, developing, and retaining talent with requisite security capabilities

    + Establish and maintain policies and standards to drive privacy controls and compliance, including but not limited to HIPAA, PCI, CCPA, CCPR, and GDPR compliance

    + Develop metrics for security and compliance adoption across the Company

    + Keep up-to-date on data privacy and security laws and best practices and advise the Company accordingly

    + Lead, plan and manage the execution and delivery of technical vulnerability analyses, audits, policy compliance reviews, BCDR implementation and planning, risk-based IT assessments and compliance reviews, and third-party risk questionnaires

    + Communicates security strategy, risks, costs, and related impact to the highest levels of the organization

    + Drives information gathering and risk assessment, including developing a wide range of security-related events that can adversely affect the security and safety of personnel and the profitability or reputation of the organization

    + Monitors the probability of any security-related incidents and develops appropriate preventive strategies consistent with sound business judgment and internal controls

    + Coordinates with local, state, federal, and international government agencies as required

    **YOUR EXPERIENCE**

    + 10+ years of experience leading functions spanning Information Security, Privacy, Business Continuation and other related disciplines

    + 10+ years of leading teams of varying sizes

    + Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline

    + Current professional certifications such as CISSP, CFE or others

    + Experience in leading Fraud Operations, Physical Security, and Corporate Investigations functions

    + Experience working with cybersecurity controls frameworks and data privacy regulations such as NIST SP 800-53, ISO 27001/2, CIS Controls, NIST CSF, HITRUST, GDPR, CCPA, or similar

    + Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate security and privacy considerations to technical and non-technical audiences
