    Description

    Golden Years Homecare is dedicated to providing exceptional in-home quality care to our clients; providing peace of mind, dignity, and comfort while in the comfort of their home. Our highly trained and professional caregivers facilitate the client's independence, safety, and maintenance of the quality of life. It is our goal to provide our clients and their families with comprehensive and personalized client-centered care, meeting the needs of the client and their families through the careful and selective matching of the client to the caregiver.

    Golden Years Homecare Services are offering an In-house training program for Home Health Aide Certification. Our 75 hour, DPH approved curriculum is geared towards any existing caregiver or anyone looking to become a caregiver. We offer a no-charge Home Health Aide education, training and certification program, and then guarantee you employment. Upon completion of the HHA course, you will be certified as a Home Health Aide and ready to work for Golden Years at Home Health Aide wages. In addition, we will employ you as a companion/homemaker while you are in training for a smooth and seamless transition.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    We are looking for motivated individuals to join our health care team who work directly with clients in a private home or facility setting. Caregiving responsibilities include assisting clients with personal care, homemaking and companionship.

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist clients in all activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting and dressing.
    • Prepare nutritious meals within the patient's diet and assist clients with eating, when necessary.
    • Medication reminders.
    • Assist clients with transfers, walking and physical activity as needed.
    • Performs light housekeeping, such as dusting, vacuuming, laundry and dishes.
    • Assistance with transportation to appointments, activities, errands and shopping.
    • Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly.
    • Completes records accurately and carries out all assignments as requested.
    • Notifies supervisor of any acute or pertinent changes in client condition.
    • Adheres to all agency policies and procedures including time sheet and activity sheet documentation, patient confidentiality, good attendance, and in-service requirements. Adheres to Agency HIPAA Privacy Plan as per written agreement.
