Assistant General Manager

The Westin of Richmond, VA is looking to hire a full-time Assistant General Manager. Are you passionate about hospitality? Do you want to advance your career working in the select hotel industry? WORK SCHEDULE FOR AN ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER

This full-time position in customer service and hospitality has a varying scheduling, working rotating shift with weekends and on some holidays.

ABOUT WESTIN

The Westin Richmond was built in 2008 and was acquired by Musselman Hotels. Musselman Hotels came into business in 1989. Since then, the company has developed or repositioned more than 40 hotels under franchise agreements with Marriott, Hilton, Starwood, and Choice Hotels. Currently, Musselman Hotels owns and/or operates eleven hotels throughout Kentucky and one in Virginia.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER

A day in the life of the Assistant General Manager is dynamic and multifaceted. From the moment they start their day, they are immersed in a whirlwind of responsibilities. They proactively oversee the smooth operation of various departments, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high standards of service. They handle guest inquiries and complaints, collaborate with department heads, and monitor financial performance. They ensure that issues are swiftly and professionally handled. With their keen attention to detail and strong leadership skills, they navigate the fast-paced environment of the select hotel industry, striving to create memorable experiences for guests and drive the hotel's success.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER

High school diploma or GED, required.
Some college/associate degree, preferred.
8-9 years of managerial experience in the hotel industry, required.
Experience working with OnQ system, preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong leadership and inter-personal skills
Strong problem-solving skills.
