    Compensation

    $ $44.80/hour

    Responsibilities

    • Pour and finish concrete
    • Performs flatwork construction
    • Constructs minor concrete structures
    • Installs reinforcing rebar or mesh wire to strengthen the concrete
    • Spreads, levels and smooths concrete using a trowel, float or screed
    • Molds expansion joints and edges
    • Monitors curing to ensure durable, smooth and uniform finish
    • Applies sealants or waterproofing to protect concrete
    • Other work related to heavy civil construction
    Education

    High school diploma/GED

    Requirements/Qualifications

    • Class C driver's license
    • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
    • Reliable attendance for varied work shifts, including nights
    • Able to work in a safety conscious manner
    • Experience working in a heavy civil construction environment
    • Physical requirements: bending, kneeling, lifting and carrying, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
    • Occasionally lifting 100 lbs.

    Preferred:

    • Class A commercial driver's license
    • Experience in traffic control
    • Ability to establish finish grades from survey data
    • Ability to complete Class 1 finish to structural concrete
    • Bilingual
    Conditions of Employment

    Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
