Description
We're looking for an engineer to join our highly collaborative cloud architecture & technology team. We need someone to help us create cloud native software and data systems that enable Qualcomm's portfolio of exciting, world-changing technologies, e.g., 5G, AI and beyond We regularly use state-of-the-art technology, building cloud native platforms, using modern development processes and tools.
This role primarily involves working with the team to design cloud native systems that connect between the edge and the cloud and enable accessing, storing, and analyzing data at scale. You will be working with multiple teams across the organization to help create Qualcomm's cloud-based solutions. The role includes writing end-to-end system designs, researching new technologies, prototyping, and conducting proof-of-concepts for new initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate will have the Following:
· Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline, with advantage to Computer Science.
Level of Responsibility:
• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Decision-making is significant in nature and affects work beyond immediate work group.
• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information. May require basic negotiation, influence, tact, etc.
• Has a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to make key decisions).
• Tasks often require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; extensive planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
