    Do you enjoy helping organizations tell stories by creative writing? We are hiring a Technical Editor responsible for developing and editing content for a government organization focused on cybersecurity. In this role, you will be working with a creative team to edit and develop content that is distributed to various audiences interested in cybersecurity. This is an excellent opportunity to use your writing and editing skills within cybersecurity-focused content.

    This role is hybrid with an onsite requirement in Arlington, VA.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage all project-related documentation.
  • Assist with the authoring, proofing and quality control of project documentation, operational procedures, technical reports, cybersecurity alerts, and social media Review content and publications for content, grammar, syntax, and formatting that align with established agency style guides.
  • Stage and publish cybersecurity products to government platforms using tools like Drupal.
  • Participate in the coordination and release of cybersecurity products.
  • Provide support to product reporting mechanisms and internal document tracking.
  • Required Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship and Active Clearance (per government contract).
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in writing/editing.
  • Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience reviewing and editing varied work products, including items written by other team members.
  • Superlative writing skills and mastery of English grammar and syntax.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Teams, to produce consistent and uniform work product.
  • Preferred:

  • Ability to apply knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, policies and procedures within various communication modes.
  • Ability to collaborate with others, along with ability to take the initiative and work independently within a fast-paced environment; ability to take initiative.
  • Experience in the Federal government sector.
  • Proven customer-service orientation; excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
