    Description

    Are you a manufacturing Quality professional who excels in process management and leading teams? Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Control Manager is responsible for leading the Quality Assurance and Quality Control departments, assuring satisfactory product quality for Nuclear Power Generation and Navy Nuclear customer applications.

    As a member of the overall plant leadership team, the QCM will lead the day-to-day operations of these key departments to meet business objectives

    Establish a safe and productive working environment through enforcement of safety policies, hazard identification, and continual improvement initiatives.
    Manage and advise the QA and QC departments. Establish departmental operating goals and plans, implement strategies to achieve them, and hold employees accountable to performance standards.
    Drive the Nuclear Safety Culture and ensure compliance with 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR21, and ASME Section III requirements.
    Manage union hourly inspection workforce through consistent administration of the union labor agreement.

    Collaborate with other department managers and supervisors to ensure alignment on daily work priorities and strategies as well as a consistent and unified approach to setting expectations and holding workforce accountable for performance.

    Promote continuous improvement through initiatives to reduce the cost of quality and improve timely delivery.
    Support achievement of business performance goals through data acquisition and analysis, scrap and rework reduction, and continual process improvement.
    Maintain a records and documentation system in accordance with regulatory agency requirements.
    Represent the company in customer and regulatory agency audits.
    Assist in making equipment and staffing decisions in support of long-term business levels.
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical program
    5+ years of work experience in Quality Control or related field required.
    Legal Authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided.

    Experience leading a union workforce.
    Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, ISO 9000, 10CFR50 App B, 10CFR21, Navy/Military Level 1/Subsafe Quality Program MIL-Q-9858A)
    Familiarity with nondestructive testing methods
