    What you will be part of

    Located in Stamford, CT, Newbury Partners (a division of Bridge Investment Group specializes in purchasing limited partnership interests in established leverage buyout, growth equity, and venture capital funds through secondary transactions. Additionally, we pursue co-investments directly in private equity-backed companies on a selective basis. With over $6.42 billion in managed capital, Newbury includes approximately 201 professionals covering new investments, finance, and administration.

    Make an impact

    We are seeking a business-minded professional to support the Director of Finance team of our private equity investment firm in all aspects of internal and external financial reporting and operations.

    This position offers a challenging "hands-on" role for a self-motivated professional with the flexibility and adaptability to work in a small team environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with strong multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize and complete projects in a timely manner.

    Anticipated Duties:

    • Assist in funding and recording investment transactions, maintenance of schedule of investments, and supporting deal documents.
    • Assist in collecting data from underlying investments and deal professionals and preparation of periodic internal and external portfolio reporting packages.
    • Understand IRRs and other performance metrics (TVPI, DPI, YTD returns, etc.).
    • Post activity to the general ledger, reconcile accounts, coordinate payment of expenses, and maintain supporting documentation.
    • Perform daily cash reconciliations and journal entries.
    • Prepare cash position and forecast reports.
    • Perform quarterly closing procedures.
    • Assist in preparing and distributing quarterly financial statements.
    • Research accounting and tax issues as required.
    Limited Partner Accounts:
    • Maintain limited partner files.
    • Prepare capital call notices and initiate distributions.
    • Maintain schedule of partner's commitments, capital contributions, and unfunded commitments.
    • Calculate the limited and general partners' capital accounts.
    • Maintain limited partner CRM and Accounting database.
    • Respond to limited partner inquiries and additional ad-hoc requests.
    Annual Audits and Tax Compliance:
    • Prepare required deliverables for year-end financial statement audits.
    • Assist in timely preparations of tax and regulatory filings and prepare supporting work papers.
    What you should bring
    • A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance
    • Experience performing accounting functions in a private equity investment firm performing all aspects of internal and external financial reporting and operations.
    • A great work ethic, proactive problem-solving skills, commitment to accuracy, and a roll of your sleeves team player personality.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel)
    Pay Range:

    $75,000 - $80,000
