ResponsibilitiesThe Marketing Assistant assists the Manager of Marketing, Volunteer Manager and Director Business Development in the efficient operation of their offices; uses discretion, independent judgment, and confidentiality in all areas of responsibility.
The Marketing Assistant maintains a professional, cooperative interaction with all hospital departments, medical staff and the public in keeping with the mission, vision and values of Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Coordinates and produces the publication and distribution of the staff newsletters and other communications as requested. Possesses ability to meet and deal successfully with a variety of people to form appropriate, harmonious and productive relationships. Initiative, creativity, and sound judgment in systematizing at procedures and analyzing activities.Strong secretarial skills, sound computer knowledge and familiarity with diversified business office equipment; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel; desktop publishing skills).
Initiative in answering correspondence; handling telephone calls and visitors in a professional manner. Able to coordinate several activities and prioritize work to accomplish optimal efficiency. Work at times may be stressful. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.About Manatee Memorial Hospital (MMH):

The 295-bed hospital with over 550 physicians, residents and allied health professionals, offers advanced healthcare services in a caring and compassionate environment.
Services include cardiac care and cardiovascular medicine, emergency care for all ages, surgery services — including robotic-assisted surgery with the da Vinci Surgical System, a weight–loss program, orthopedic services, outpatient and inpatient radiology and rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep, oncology, wound care and women's and children's services.
Manatee Memorial Hospital offers a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for babies with special needs and has the only Pediatric Center in Manatee County.
