    University Hospitals is looking for talented and experienced registered nurses to join our compassionate care team.


    The Neuroscience Intensive Care unit (NSU) is a critical care unit that provides care to a very specific population of patients.

    The common patient types of patients that we see are intracranial hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, ischemic stroke, brain tumors, spinal injuries, seizures, CNS infections, and low level trauma such as subdural/epidural hematomas.

    The NSU is a fully certified Level I trauma center and Comprehensive Gold Level Stroke Center.

    Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

    Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care. Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes. Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations. Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing. Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes. ACLS/PALS may be required based on clinical area standards.

    Sign on Bonus of $4,000 will be paid in two installments 1/2 at 90 days of employment and 1/2 at one year.

    The sign on bonus is intended for new employees of Univeristy Hospitals with 1+ years of nursing experience.
