- Plan, coordinate, and implement daily activities for youth for weekly STEAM Camp.
- Create age-appropriate lesson plans integrating science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) concepts, fostering creativity problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Guide campers in creating STEAM-inspired projects and experiments that promote healthy habits and sustainable practices.
- Facilitate the creation of a STEAM-themed project portfolio for campers to take home at the end of the week.
- Create weekly supply lists and submit it to the Specialty Camp director on specified dates.
- Maintain daily attendance and notify the Specialty Camp Director when children are absent.
- Comply with the Policies and Procedures of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue.
- Walk with members to attend field trips/programs as necessary.
- Assist with the implementation and enforcement of safety policies/procedures regarding participant safety, risk-management, and building security.
- Assist with the up keep of Club maintenance and appearance. Make sure all aspects of the spaces are clean, organized and conductive to STEAM learning.
- Be prompt when arriving to work and communicate with supervisor when tardy or absent.
- Demonstrated experience working with youth, parents/guardians, and community partners
- Demonstrated experience working in a team environment
- Strong communications skills, both oral and written
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma
- Must pass National Background Check
- Six months to a year of previous experience working in a Boys & Girls Club or similar youth development setting
- Experience facilitating STEAM activities with youth
- Bilingual in Spanish or Mandarin is a plus
- Preferred availability: Flexible based on assigned position

As a Specialty Camp Staff in the area of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics), you get to inspire, plan and lead young minds with youth Grades 1-6. Over the course of the summer, you will foster curiosity and facilitate hands-on experience in a dynamic camp experience including lifecycles, wind and hydro power, engineering challenges, and more
A Specialty Camp Staff is a self-motivated and positive individual who can balance an energetic, fun youth focused atmosphere with professionalism and maturity. You will serve as a role model for all Club Members and are expected to lead with excellence.
