Job summary
This position assists in planning promoting and implementing recreation programs for children adults and seniors. The Recreation Services Division manages Youth & Adult Sports After School Programs Summer Day Camp Park Patrol and the Alhambra Farmers Market.The position requires leadership principles knowledge of Microsoft programs ability to interact with the public enthusiasm willingness to learn perform duties involving walking bending kneeling lifting climbing work outdoors maintain enthusiasm willingness to learn perform duties involving walking bending kneeling lifting climbing work outdoors.
This position requires participants in activities that require strenuous labor/activity including facility management special events rentals senior program implementation leisure class support execute sports games crafts recreational youth adult senior activities maintain stamina flexibility strength endurance lift up to 75 pounds sit stand squat kneel climb stairs stoop walk prolonged periods time travel different locations exposed inclement weather conditions noise vibration dust potentially hazardous chemicals drive motorized vehicles work heavy vehicle traffic conditions moderate high levels talking interruptions telephones members public.
