Saint Louis Construction Inspection Intern - St. Louis

Job summary
Assist an Inspector conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for projects related to civil infrastructure such as roads bridges water/wastewater facilities pump stations or pipelines monitor record and inspect progress on construction projects receive general supervision from the Senior Inspector who reviews work while in progress perform measurements and calculations necessary to determine quantity of work performed and materials required check layout and dimensions of work by utilizing basic tape measures rules and other instruments read and interpret construction drawings specifications identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents compose reports with a daily log of construction activities field inspections tests performed personnel assigned equipment used weather conditions and other information pertinent to the progress of the work enter record information regarding construction projects into computer programs.
