    Join Our Team as a Training Assistant Manager

    As a Training Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in creating an outstanding guest experience by supporting our store staff. Your leadership will ensure excellent merchandising, competitive pricing, and a clean and organized store environment. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will step up to take on their responsibilities, making a significant impact on our team's performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Deliver exceptional service by fostering a welcoming atmosphere and encouraging staff to engage with every guest.
    • Oversee True North Ready responsibilities and ensure all shifts comply with high standards.
    • Stay informed about current promotions and sales, ensuring all staff are updated and prepared for monthly blitz events.
    • Manage vendor deliveries, verifying the accuracy of inventory and pricing.
    • Address and resolve staff compliance issues, supporting a culture of accountability.
    • Participate in recruiting, training, and developing new team members to ensure a skilled workforce.
    • Handle guest concerns promptly and escalate complex issues to the Store Manager when necessary.
    • Audit and correct previous day's shift reports to maintain operational accuracy.
    • Conduct competitor price surveys and implement necessary pricing adjustments.
    • Run daily reports, manage bank deposits, and prepare essential e-store documentation.
    • Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal and maintenance to ensure a safe and inviting environment.

    Essential Qualifications:

    • Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate team members.
    • Proficient in using EPOS systems for report retrieval, processing transactions, and operating lottery machines.
    • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with employees and guests.
    • Calm and collected in emergency situations.
    • Ability to accurately read, count, and write to manage store operations.
    • Responsible for the secure transport of bank deposits.
    • Willingness to navigate all areas of the store, including coolers and stock areas.
    • Ability to work in cold environments for extended periods while stocking and maintaining coolers.
    • Capable of handling merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds and standing for up to 8 hours.
    • Flexible availability, primarily working opposite the Store Manager, including potential shifts during early morning, afternoon, and occasionally late-night hours.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Valid Driver's License is required.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent education.
    • Access to a vehicle for banking purposes is necessary.
    • Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not mandatory.
