Job Description

Westair Gases is seeking a reliable and experienced Commercial Driver to join our team. As a class A Commercial Driver, you will be responsible for transporting and delivering various industrial compressed packages gases, and goods to customer locations in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

Operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, box trucks, and flatbeds

Transport goods and materials to various locations

Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations

Inspect vehicles before and after each trip

Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance

Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers

Ability to handle electronic handheld for scanning products in and out

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) A

Clean driving record

Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience, Tractor/Trailer driving experience preferred

Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and lift and move up to 100 pounds—reasonable manual dexterity for pushing, turning, and pulling controls and valves. Work in various inside and outside environments being subjected to weather changes, noise, vibrations, and job hazards. Can operate a motor vehicle, machines, and other hand tools and equipment. This job's specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
