- Provide maintenance for the entire camp in an orderly and efficient manner.
- Replacements and/or repairs will be completed as approved by the education director.
- Keep all equipment clean and in good working condition, properly stored and used only for the intended purposes.
- Practice energy conservation for the camp facilities
- Identify health, fire, and safety hazards; work with personnel to solve any issues.
- Assist with annual inspections of the sprinkler, alarm, and water suppression equipment.
- Keep all buildings and furnishings in good repair.
- Maintain inventory of all HVAC, water fountain, ice machine filters and replace routinely.
- Support dishwasher maintenance checks, monitor deliming routine, and chemical usage.
- Maintain records and inventories of camp equipment, supplies, and keys including garage door openers and
- Provide tours of the facility when requested to partner groups, lock and unlock facility as requested.
- Operate and maintain camp water and septic system maintenance when necessary.
- Establish good relations with all youth members, staff and vendors associated with camp and promote the
- Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data and information.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be experienced in general maintenance duties
- Must have the ability to operate and maintain motorized equipment and power tools
- Possess effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and provide weekly updates
- FMS shall have a high school diploma or equivalent
- FMS is required to obtain CPR and First Aid
- FMS must maintain a valid U.S. driver license
- Occasional travel

Description
Purpose of the Role:
The Facility Maintenance Specialist provides on-site personnel to maintain a clean, attractive, and safe
environment for all users of Farmers Union camp. The Facility Maintenance Specialist is responsible for maintaining
acceptable levels of neatness and cleanliness of all buildings, grounds, tools, equipment, and vehicles. Associated duties will
include accepting supplies, maintaining inventories, and required record keeping. The Facility Maintenance Specialist will be a
good ambassador for the Farmers Union Educational program.
Supervision:
The Facility Maintenance Specialist will be under direct supervision of the Education Director but will directly
report to the Engagement Supervisor/Camp Director or Education Specialist on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Emphasis will be placed on:
o Main building and all rooms
o Kitchen, dining hall/gym, storage rooms
o Dorms, laundry room, furnace room, and all bathroom areas
o Floors, walls, windows, doors and roof, walkways, and porches
o Light fixtures, heating, and air controls
o Filter replacements, saltwater monitoring if necessary
o Minor plumbing and carpentry repairs will be performed as directed.
o Garage, dumpster area and driveway
general operation of camp.
