Senior Risk Analyst - Houston, United States - OPTIMUS (TX)

Description

A key Optimus client is looking for an experienced, self-starter to join their Risk Management Team. This Sr Analyst will oversee risk control and reporting for growing commodity marketing activities across the company.


Responsibilities include:
supporting the ETRM implementation (Allegro)managing market data inputsconfirming/validating the tradesmonitoring compliance with risk policiessupporting management decision-making with accurate information around marketing performance and company-wide exposures

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (Finance, Economics, Mathematics or other quantitative fields)5+ years of experience in commodities risk management with a crude oil / liquids focusExperience with MTM, position limits, , etc.

Proficient with Allegro or a similar ETRMPrior ETRM implementation experienceAbility to articulate complex quantitative concepts to various stakeholdersAbility to build strong rapport while maintaining independenceAbility to work across and communicate throughout the organizationUnderstanding accruals vs.

MTM valuesStrong initiative and drive to support new marketing activities plus ETRM implementation of substantial existing business(es)
