The Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, invites applications for a full-time non-tenure-track lecturer position starting August 1, 2024, at the level of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer.

The position's primary responsibility will be teaching general education introductory physics and astronomy courses, laboratories, and some higher-level courses based on department need.

This non-tenure-track position is renewable, contingent upon evidence of excellent teaching, demand for instruction, and availability of funds, and comes with full benefits.

The candidate should be able to develop engaging detailed lectures with homework assignments, help with the development of laboratories, and provide timely feedback to students.

The candidate should also be able to work collaboratively with other faculty members in the department and with the graduate laboratory instructors.

The ideal candidate will have experience with online teaching platforms such as Blackboard or Canvas.
