Program Manager - Richmond, United States - AMS Group, Inc.
Description
AMS Engineered Solutions is seeking a Program Manager (PGM) who will be responsible for managing open orders and ensuring that Quality, Schedule, and Cost Targets are achieved.
They will work with a variety of different teams, including manufacturing suppliers, internal manufacturing, engineers, logistics professionals, sales, and quality control, to ensure that each product meets quality standards and is delivered on time so that contract delivery dates and revenue recognition goals are achieved.
The PGM will report to the General Manager, Engineered Solutions, and focus mainly on post-award activities, while also assisting pre-award teams with large opportunities that require project documents.
They will be held accountable for all Licensed Manufacturing product deliveries across the AMS sites.Duties & Responsibilities
Develop detailed project plans based on supplier manufacturing plans, internal manufacturing plans, logistics processing time, quality control and testing, customer inspection, and billing
Assign duties or responsibilities to project personnel and lead cross-functional teams through all phases of project lifecycles
Review production schedules to ensure that deadlines are met, and work is progressing steadily
Coordinate with vendors to ensure that products are delivered on time, in the correct quantities, and meet all contract quality standards
Develop a strong partnership and interaction with the engineering team to manage Technical Data Packages and other engineering processes
Ensure customer requirements are met and manage stakeholder expectations through effective communication
Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems
Create program and project status presentations for delivery to stakeholders, leadership, and project personnel
Facilitate the creation of a repeatable project plan and checklist to help with the replication of new strategic stocking partnerships
Implement and manage risk registers across licensing open orders
Monitor the performance of project team members to provide performance feedback
Prepare professional and user-friendly project related communications for distribution to employees, clients, and suppliers
Requirements
Microsoft 365 including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Adobe Acrobat
Project management software such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar tool
Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
Proven track record of successful project delivery from start to finish
Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems - preferably Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
Strong communication and presentation skills, problem-solving abilities, and leadership talent necessary to drive positive outcomes of manufacturing projects
Foundational understanding of finance/project finance to make informed decisions that affect the financial health of a project
Preferred Capabilities
Background in continuous improvement process implementation/management
Knowledge of Quality Assurance or Quality Maintenance System Management
Work Experience and Education
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related field
5+ years' experience in an aerospace manufacturing or engineering environment, with 2+ years in project management
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
