    Business Development & Sponsorship Assistant

    Summary:

    The Business Development & Sponsorship Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting and managing business development projects at GalaxyCon, a festival celebrating comic books, pop culture, sci-fi, fantasy, anime, gaming, cosplay, and more.

    Responsibilities:

    • Sponsor/Partner Communications: Conduct communications with sponsors and partners to ensure successful partnerships.
    • Project Coordination: Coordinate company/team member projects, including emails, team meetings, and spreadsheet management.
    • Graphic Creation: Collaborate with team members for project graphic creation, production, and delivery.
    • Event Planning: Plan and coordinate pre-event activities, activate, execute, and deliver at events, and provide post-event recaps and follow-up support.
    • Project Management Tracking: Build, develop, and manage project management tracking mechanisms such as checklists, trackers, and to-do lists.
    • New Project Conceptualization: Assist in identifying new opportunities and potential partners, increasing profitability on current business development and sponsorship projects, determining and prioritizing objectives, creating comprehensive proposals, developing operational plans and strategies, executing and managing projects from start to finish, reviewing and revisiting projects as needed, and exploring new revenue streams for GalaxyCon.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or Event Management or a related field is preferred.
    • Proven experience in business development, sponsorship management, and event planning.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
    • A passion for comic books, pop culture, sci-fi, fantasy, anime, gaming, cosplay, and more.
    • A willingness and ability to travel to GalaxyCon events, which may require working on weekends and holidays.
