    This position is based in Ogden, Utah and could be remote for the right candidate

    Position Summary

    Essential duties of this position include the design and placement of supports for various piping systems along with performing necessary calculations. Candidates should be well-versed in common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC & ASME B31.3.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with layout personnel, pipe stress engineers, and other support engineers to produce a quality and cost-effective design.
    • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required.
    • Experience working in a 3D model environment is preferred.

    Qualifications & Skills

    Basic Qualifications

    • Level 1: Bachelor's degree in engineering with 1 year of related experience.
    • Level 2: Bachelor's degree in engineering with 3 years of related experience.
    • US citizenship is required as per contract requirement.
    • Possess active security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Strong knowledge of AISC and ASME B31.3, along with other relevant industry codes and standards.
    • Previous experience using structural analysis programs.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • EIT certification or PE registration.
    • Experience with pipe support analysis programs like GT STRUDL.
    • Experience with Pipe Support Modeling software.
    • Previous experience on DOD/DOE projects.

    Job Types: Full-time, Contract

    Pay: $ $50.00 per hour
