- Develop expert knowledge of FanDuels retail operations
- Familiarize and understand the policies, procedures and training within the retail organization
- Build relationships with regulators, sportsbook management, access partners, and greater compliance team
- Lead a team of Regional Compliance Managers ensuring consistent execution of compliance tasks across the estate
- Build best in class operational compliance structure and process framework
- Conduct regular site visits with team members and on the ground sportsbook and partner teams
- Develop action plans based on team findings to enhance compliance and responsible gambling practices
- Identify ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes and procedures utilizing technology to support
- Be the main conduit in Retail Operations for compliance escalations to central Compliance team and Senior Management
- Support new venue launches ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements
- Ensure scalability of team and processes by collaborating with central compliance team for process improvement and focused resourcing
- Coordinate and support annual compliance program tasks
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a compliance, regulatory, legal or auditing environment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming and/or racing license and satisfy all regulatory requirements
- Ability to actively listen to what others have to say and restate information to ensure understanding
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in legal or regulatory and compliance management preferred
- Ability to lead a remote team, influence and collaborate in a cross functional environment
- Previous experience within a gaming operations environment or similar is a plus
- Proven record of evaluating and deploying technology for facilitation and assurance of task management
- Excellent writing and communications skills, the ability to negotiate and persuade, and a sound understanding of corporate compliance and general business practices
