- The hands-on development of ink jet inks working within a cross functional team.
- Developing project feasibility argument by demonstrating ink performance versus competitors.
- Continually resolving problems at the point and tracking key project risks.
- Following standard work (SOPs) and developing improved methods to yield better results.
- Travelling to conduct customer field trials up to 10% of time.
- Ensuring independent ownership and completion of goals on-time.
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in the chemistry, chemical engineering or related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. and travel internationally.
- Industrial work with direct involvement in new product development, particularly formulations.
- Formulation technology including paints, coatings, adhesives, UV curable inks, etc.
- Understanding of inkjet inks and/or ink jet printing systems is preferred, but not necessary.
- Safety - wholistic understanding of and respect for safe lab practices.
- Verbal and written communication- ability to summarize technical results clearly and concisely for both internal team and customers.
- Data analysis - using standard Excel statistical package, etc.
- Problem solving - ability to solve complex technical problems at the point.
- Teamwork - ability to actively track and report work in a fast-paced environment.
- International travel- flexibility and willingness to travel internationally.
