- A minimum of a Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Human Services, or some equivalent training.
- At least two year's work experience with severely emotionally disturbed or troubled children and families.
- Ability to work as a team member and have good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under stressful conditions and be flexible in relation to department needs.
- Proficiency in Communication & Written skills.
- Knowledge of accreditation standards and regulatory body rules and regulations.
- Knowledge regarding age-specific / developmental
- Must be an assertive and highly organized master's level therapist with excellent documentation skills.
- Must be bilingual speaking both English and Spanish and/or English and Haitian Creole
- Provides psychologically necessary and clinically indicated in-home, in-office, or in-school therapeutic behavioral services to children residing in caregivers' homes, emergency shelters, and/or any of the shelters or foster homes.
- Provides psychological and psycho-educational assessments on an as-needed basis.
- Practices according to the highest relevant clinical standards and highest relevant ethical standards of the mental health professional's sub-specialty.
- Provides services to a minimum of 25 billable clients per week, if most of the work is done in the field; and provides services to a minimum of 30 billable clients per week if most of the work is done in-office.
- Develops and maintains client records in a timely manner and in accordance with Family Resource Center's Policies and procedures, and Medicaid and JCAHO standards.
- Submits Medicaid or other billing on a weekly basis to Family Resource Center's Finance Department
- Receives weekly clinical supervision by a licensed supervisor.
- Attends weekly clinical meetings to discuss children and adolescents in foster homes and shelter settings and updates
treatment plans/reviews.
9. Participates in the agency's Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement Program
10 Contributes to the understanding and acceptance of cultural diversity within the agency and the community;
11. Complies with all relevant JCAHO standards and regulations.
12. Utilizes the agency's resources in a fiscally conservative manner.
