    Job Description:

    Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Technical Editor Senior supporting the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Software Engineering Center (SEC), IEW&S Directorate Sensors and Mission Division (SMED).     Provide system/software engineering support to U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Software Engineering Center (SEC), IEW&S Directorate Sensors and Mission Division (SMED) to maintain mission continuity, provide a world-class sustainment workforce focused on current and future Warfighter requirements, provide software solutions and services for present and future customers, and maintain Army field readiness with Post-Production Software Support (PPSS) and Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS).

    This support is for the following systems:

    • Biometric Automated Toolset Army (BAT-A)
    • Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A) OGS SIPR
    • Enhanced Medium Altitude Reconnaissance and Surveillance System (EMARSS)
    • Guardrail Common Sensor (GRCS)
    • Husky Mounted Detection System
    • Long-Range Advanced Scout Surveillance System (LRAS3)
    • Second Generation Forward Looking Infrared (SGF)
    • Small Tactical Radar Lightweight (STARLite)

    HOW A TECHNICAL EDITOR SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

    • Writes technical specifications, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for internal documentation, customer reference or publications
    • Analyzes technical literature available, writes descriptive copy, and verifies documentation
    • Proven capability in reviewing customer drawings and data and translate customer language into standard procedures and product flow
    • Proven capability to edit, write, and/or rewrite technical articles, publications, presentations, and other materials to communicate clearly and effectively on research findings, technical developments, and other information to a wide range of external audiences.
    • Adept in exercising quality control over documentation intended for external distribution.
    • Devises and applies testing procedures for parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors.
    • Participates in the development, maintenance and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

    • Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree in a related field
    • Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
    • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI
    • Location: Hybrid
    • US Citizenship Required

    The likely salary range for this position is $69,722 - $116,438. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
