    PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

    As the Senior Vice President of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategy and ensuring the overall financial health of the company. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, driving financial planning and analysis, and providing strategic financial guidance to the executive team.

    MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Financial Strategy and Planning:

    • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with its overall business objectives
    • Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning

    Financial Reporting and Analysis:

    • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis to the executive team and board of directors
    • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks

    Risk Management:

    • Implement effective risk management strategies to safeguard the company's assets and financial stability
    • Monitor and assess the financial impact of various business decisions

    Cash Flow Management:

    • Manage cash flow to ensure operational needs are met and optimize the utilization of available funds
    • Implement strategies to enhance cash flow forecasting and working capital management

    Financial Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal acquisition regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Governmental Accounting Standards (GAS) and other relevant financial regulations and standards
    • Oversee the preparation of financial reports for regulatory authorities

    Team Leadership:

    • Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship and guidance.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the finance department

    Financial Relationships:

    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and other external partners
    • Represent the company in financial matters with external stakeholders.
    • Evaluate and execute capital-raising strategies, including debt and equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and partnerships

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required, and MBA in Accounting, finance, or equivalent preferred
    • At least ten years of experience in the financial function of a company is required
    • At least five years of experience in Department of Defense (DOD) government contracting preferred
    • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred
    • Highly Proficient in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Governmental Accounting Standards (GAS), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
    • Highly Proficient in ERP Accounting software specific to Job Cost and Manufacturing Cost Accounting and Inventory practices
    • Must possess exceptional leadership and team-building abilities
    • Most possess excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
    • Work is based in a busy office environment and is subject to frequent interruptions
    • This is an on-site position, and normal working hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
