    About the Job

    City Brewery's La Crosse facility is seeking a Training Manager to join its growing team. This position is responsible for facilitating the implementation of the education and training learning plans for the La Crosse facility. The Training Manager will be the main point of contact for the facility to ensure consistent application of established learning and development principles and expand current best practices. This individual will interface heavily with all levels and functions within the facility in order to drive a consistent, site-wide learning approach and strategy. As part of City's L&D team, this role will also collaborate with other locations within the network to ensure uniformity and share insights.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Develop, coordinate, and/or facilitate training related to safety, quality, leadership, and technical skills; includes new hire onboarding
    • Record learning events utilizing the Learning Management System & utilize historical data to conduct gap analysis and recommend future trainings
    • Facilitate individual development of hourly employees, including leveraging individual development plans for all employees in assigned areas
    • Lead the implementation work of and manage the Education and Training Pillar, skills attainment and qualification process
    • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts on content development for training initiatives, as appropriate
    • Manages vendor relationships; evaluates and maintains an appropriate mix of external resources to support ongoing growth
    • Ensure the processes established for intellectual knowledge transfer, including the established on-boarding program, are followed in assigned areas
    • Develop or ensure the development of Standard Operating Procedures, including the on-going evolution of the procedures to accommodate changes, for all positions in assigned areas
    • Execute the Standard Operating Procedure for assigned areas and ensure effectiveness of training initiatives are tracked and measured
    • Provide input to and champion the overall learning strategy for the plant
    • Provide input to the annual Learning and Development plan for the plant, including budgeting of labor hours and monitoring the learning and development budget for assigned areas
    • Capture, share, and implement education and training best approaches in processes and efficiencies, via communication with the supply chain and enterprise learning and development community

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business, Education or Engineering
    • 4 years of experience in learning and development
    • Experience in high-speed manufacturing, a plus
    • Excellent facilitation and engagement skills
    • Experience with adult learning methodologies (i.e. ATD certification), preferred
    • Understanding of lean manufacturing and world class manufacturing principles and/or integrated work systems initiatives
    • Strong people skills and the ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels and functions within an organization
    • Demonstrated ability to translate and simplify complex principles to ensure smooth transfer across the organization
    • Experience leading teams through large organizational change
