    Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Centers (PTSMC) is accepting applications for a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant at our Essex clinic.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide and maintain appropriate high standards of clinical care to patients
    • Take a "patient-first" approach to care by establishing a friendly, trustworthy rapport with patients
    • Motivate patients during treatment in order to help them function optimally and achieve their goals
    • Communicate effectively with physical therapists, physicians and other relevant healthcare providers
    • Promote our "PT for Life" philosophy in community settings

    Requirements

    • Degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant program
    • Valid Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility to apply

    Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Centers is Connecticut's largest private-practice physical therapy company with 33 locations around the state serving more than 20,000 patients every year. President Alan Balavender, a physical therapist himself, purchased and started the first PTSMC clinic in Waterbury in 2000. Balavender established a 'partnership model' that supports physical therapists who want to own and operate their own clinics, and has since helped more than 20 clinicians realize that goal.
