POSITION SUMMARY:

· The Senior Accountant will work heavily in MegaCorp Logistics' NetSuite environment and be responsible for preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Responsible for preparing financial analyses and reports.

· Assists Controller with month-end and year-end close processes, and annual audit preparations.

· Maintains and reconciles balance sheet and general ledger accounts.

· Investigates and resolves audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.

· Prepares revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.

· Assists Controller with tax preparation and documents gathering.

· Contributes to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.

· Ensures all processing and reporting deadlines are met.

· Ensures MegaCorp is in compliance with GAAP.

· Assists the Controller and CFO with other projects as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.

· 2+ years of experience as an accountant required.

· Professional experience working with confidential and sensitive information.

COMPETENCIES:

· Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

· Proficient with Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.

· Accounting software experience (Netsuite experience is a plus).

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Strong numeracy and analytical skills.

· Ability to prioritize tasks and meet timely obligations.

· Ability to work with little supervision.
