The Industrial Permit Writer will work with permittees neighbors consultants and other interested parties to ensure facility permit applications are properly thoroughly reviewed. The candidate will need self-management skills adaptability oral communication attention to detail a bachelor's degree in biology chemistry or related scientific field.
Responsibilities
- Draft permits issue public notices review input and issue Missouri State Operating Permits for industrial stormwater wastewater discharges including landfills quarries airports.
- Coordinate with permittees the Missouri Geological Survey team engineering team members legal counsel others ensure compliance Clean Water law regulations.
- Review comments received on draft permits update if needed respond presenting information responding questions from public meetings wide-spread interest as needed.
- Provide compliance assistance rule interpretation for permittees potential neighbors others.
