    Veolia Energy & Process Solutions (VEPS) and Water Technologies Solutions Poseidon (WTSP) businesses within VWTS are broadening their product offering, which involves a significant focus on pre-Engineered equipment/systems as well as geographical / market segment growth.

    Application Engineers are the first engineers our clients encounter.

    Alongside Sales and Process Engineering, this position is responsible for developing winning water treatment solutions for clients under complex technical or regulatory requirements.

    Working with a diverse team across time zones and continents, you own the bid - from lead qualification, through system design and costing, to contract signature and handover to Engineering.

    As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and driving a winning and executable solution throughout the sales cycle, from lead qualification to contract signature and project handover.

    Working in partnership with the sales team and our channel partners to develop the bid strategy for the sale of the VEPS portfolio of pre-Engineered & WTSP Technologies and Products.

    Reviewing specifications and customer supplied documentation, providing comments, clarifications and exceptions as needed in accordance with the VEPS or WTSP technology.

    Working with the Process Engineering Team to understand, support and finalize the design of various flowsheet processes to solve water treatment problems for our Customers ensuring alignment with the bid strategy.

    Flowsheets may involve multiple unit operations.
    Understand and incorporate Veolia's value proposition for the market and technologies proposed.

    Where required to, develop a cost estimate for the proposal, working with the Sourcing Team or the Estimation Team as needed to obtain equipment quotes and finalize costing - specifically when responding to inquiries which depart from the VEPS or VWTP standard technology offering.

    Actively collaborating with other functions (Sales, Contract Management, Sourcing, Execution) to develop risk mitigation strategies while maintaining a competitive position.

    Assist other members of the team with document publishing/formatting as needed.
    Maintain accurate opportunity details through Sales Force - SFDC.

    Canada (Quebec) or US (Texas) - Partial home office / partial at office location to be defined depending on candidate.

    Training on technology and regular attendance to Poseidon Offices and Factory in Levis, Quebec, Canada
    Initial training on Technology & process at EPS offices in Melbourne, Australia and/or Dubai

    Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering field - Chemical or Mechanical preferred
    Experience in Energy, Oil & Gas (Produced Water and/or Wastewater Treatment) or related industries preferred but not required
    Fluency in English (both written and verbal)
    Five (5) years' experience in chemical/mechanical engineering or a related field
    French language skills may be useful
    The role requires the ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time
