    Rockglade Government Solutions is recruiting a full-time Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy to students at Lawson-Marriott Elementary, 1599 Newtown Rd, St Stephens Church, VA approximately 30 miles from Richmond).

    Work Schedule:

    • Services will be provided on a full-time basis requiring 7 1⁄2 hours per day for up to five days a week.
    • Based on school calendar of 200 working days per year.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct informal classroom observations with verbal recommendations regarding possible physical therapy evaluation and treatment.
    • Provide written assessment reports based on evaluations.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of an individualized education plan (IEP) for each student receiving physical therapy services, including annual goals and short-term objectives.
    • Provide direct therapy on an individual or small group basis and consultation services.
    • Establish and coordinate physical therapy schedule with other therapists and teachers, allowing flexibility for classroom structure plus travel, consultation, planning, and evaluation time.
    • Provide input on the student's progress at the same interval that regular education parents are informed of their child's progress.
    • Record daily and annual attendance and daily therapy notes.
    • Consult with physicians and other agencies concerning students receiving physical therapy services.
    • Conduct review of available medical and educational records prior to service initiation.
    • Communicate with the Director of Special Education and building principles on matters pertinent to physical therapy services.

    Qualifications:

    • Licensure as a Physical Therapist practicing in Virginia.
