    Description

    The Structures engineer will be required to assist the project management team in the construction of multiple projects consisting of bridges and retaining walls. Pre-construction responsibilities include scheduling, coordinating the development of all shop drawings and work plans necessary to begin work on a project.

    Responsibilities during construction include tracking pay quantities and submitting pay requests to project owners, evaluating project performance against budgets and schedules, identifying changes to the project scopes and pricing change orders, managing subcontractors, and offering technical support to foremen and superintendents. The ideal candidate should have an interest in field operations and being part of some of the most challenging & rewarding projects in the Southeast.

    Qualified applicants should possess:

    • 3-7 years of full-time experience working for a structures company or concentration in the structure aspect of a larger project or experience in large heavy civil construction projects.
    • A degree in Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
    • Field engineer or other field experience is highly desirable.
    • Must be proficient in reading plans, scheduling, maintaining relationships with Owners and subcontractors, and general project billing.
    • Design build experience would be a plus.
    • Willingness to work variable hours and participate in hands on training.
