    Description
    Job DescriptionWe are seeking a full-time RN Unit Supervisor for the Cardiac Vascular Neuro ICU (CVNICU). This is a 16-bed unit focusing on vascular and neuro patient population.


    Shift:
    Day shift position - 7:00am-7:00pm (3x12-hour shifts/week).Candidates are eligible to receive a competitive sign on bonus. Those relocating from more than 50 miles away will also be eligible for relocation assistance.

    A front-line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to Quality and Best Practices to improve clinical operation of the unit; embraces, uses, and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools.

    Supports unit-based shared governance and decentralized decision-making structures and processes.

    A role model who leads by example in delivering Service Always and in making Patient Experience a priority on unit(s) of responsibility.

    Seeks every opportunity to meet the unique needs of each person we are privileged to serve every time, every touch.

    Ensuring that care is patient centered.

    Continually pursues activities that will ensure smooth clinical operations/flow and compliance with Inova's goals of providing safe, equitable, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and effective care in a holistic and evidence-based practice environment.

    Requirements:

    • A minimum of one year of Registered Nurse Clinical experience; 2+ years of RN experience in ICU preferred.
    • Recent acute care experience and/or nursing practice experience
    • Charge nurse experience preferred.
    • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
    • Education-BSN or MSN preferred, if Associate Degree then must be within one year of obtaining BSN or MSN.
    • Completion of revised Charge Nurse Workshop within the first 90 days.
    • BLS required. Specialty certification (as required by unit) within 1 year of hire.
