Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, understanding their needs, and providing tailored product recommendations.
- Assist with daily store operations including stocking shelves, organizing displays, and managing inventory control.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges while handling cash and credit payments accurately.
- Support merchandising efforts by setting up promotional displays and ensuring products are priced correctly.
- Participate in employee orientation and training sessions to learn company policies, sales techniques, and customer engagement strategies.
- Contribute to team management by supervising shifts, coordinating tasks, and ensuring a smooth store flow.
- Engage in recruiting activities by interviewing potential team members and assisting with onboarding processes.
- Maintain organized records of sales data, inventory levels, and payroll documentation as needed.
- Develop leadership skills through supervising team members, managing time effectively, and supporting store management initiatives.
- Assist with marketing efforts to promote store events or new product launches using effective communication skills.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service roles is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential.
- Demonstrated supervisory or assistant manager experience is a plus; familiarity with shift management and team leadership is highly valued.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities; multilingual or bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of retail math for pricing, sales management, and budgeting helps ensure accurate store operations.
- Experience with POS systems, inventory management software, and basic bookkeeping enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Ability to handle cash accurately while demonstrating responsible cash handling practices.
- Familiarity with merchandising techniques, stock replenishment, and promotional strategies supports store growth initiatives.
