    Description

    Credit Manager Job Description:
    The Credit Manager will be responsible for evaluating and overseeing the credit granting process for The DeLong Co. and its related entities.

    Maintains a credit policy and seeks to minimize bad debt losses; this includes assessing the creditworthiness of potential customers and conducting periodic reviews of existing customers.

    Communicates with past due accounts in an effort to collect the balance owed. As necessary, engages collection agencies or attorneys to collect a past due balance.

    Credit Manager:

    • Conduct credit reviews and approve, deny or modify credit terms.
    • Complete credit applications and respond to credit reference requests.
    • Prepare internal reports to assist managers with tracking past due accounts.
    • Prepare promissory notes and related documents.
    • Collect past due accounts for The DeLong Co. and its related entities.
    • Verify and enter grain liens.
    • Balance note accounts.
    • Submit bookings and invoices to third party financing providers.
    • Train new and existing employees on the credit process.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Key Attributes of a Credit Manger:

    • Ability to work independently.
    • 1-3 years of experience in credit management or related field.
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field.
    • Organized with strong attention to detail.
    • Self-starter and highly motivated.
    • Clear and concise communicator.
