    Position: Safety Specialist

    Location: Litchfield Park AZ

    Shift: 1st shift

    Pay: $20.00 Temp to hire

    Position Summary:
    • The Site Safety Manager is responsible for creating, maintaining, and continuing to drive compliance toward a comprehensive, consistent safety program across facilities.
    • They will provide expertise and enthusiasm that is instrumental in maintaining compliance with all applicable safety regulations while continually improving the lives of the team members, ensuring their safety is our top priority.
    • The Site Safety Manager will work closely with the Tualatin General Manager and other team members to maintain a safe workplace by managing safety programs, procedures, and training through behavioral safety and engineering controls.
    • A successful Site Safety Manager will have the ability to influence and drive change with leaders throughout the Tualatin sites, ensuring TransPak's safety programs are understood and embraced across all facilities.
    Essential Functions:

    In accordance with federal, state, industry standards and insurance guidelines:
    • Safety Program Management -- 45%
    • Lead the communication and implementation of TransPak's United States safety strategy and approach to reach the goal of zero injuries at a site level.
    • Accident/Injury Reporting and Investigation and Response—35%
    • Monitoring and Metric Oversight—20% ·
    • Oversees the maintenance of recordkeeping (OSHA 300 log) updates days since last injury dashboard,
    • Complies and reports monthly metrics (DART, OSHA log trends, etc) to leadership
    • Bilingual in Spanish required
    • ** Must have 1 yr of inventory control experience / 1 yr WMS experience/ Microsoft experience
    Education/Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
    • Education, yrs. Experience, knowledge, certifications, etc. necessary for the role.
    • 3-5 years' experience in safety coordination, EHS programs or similar relevant continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment. 1-2 years in a leadership role preferred.
