We are looking for a highly motivated Part Counter Sales Representative in Lewiston, ID.

    Job Summary: Handle customer requests for parts purchases, both in person and electronically.

    Duties and Responsibilities:


    • Wait on customers or mechanics at the parts counter, phone or email.

    • Research customers' requests and needs and determine correct part(s) needed.

    • Produce invoice from computer system if part(s) is in stock. If not, follow the ordering process.

    • Restock shelves and maintain parts bins.

    • Assist with annual parts inventory physical count.

    • Troubleshoot parts department paperwork as necessary.

    • Resolve problems with the inventory control system.

    • Maintain a superior level of knowledge and expertise in the trucking industry.

    • Coordinate parts returns to vendors and follow through on credits.

    • Coordinate all parts department warranty claims.

    • Assist Parts Manager in purchasing parts from local and out of state vendors.

    • Unpack and check all material for damage and correct quantity.

    • Clean and deliver cores to the Parts Department.

    • Maintain both parts and service departments.

    • Stock transfers and special invoices on a daily basis.



    Qualifications:


    • High School Diploma

    • Excellent customer service skills

    • Parts experience desirable

    • Mechanical aptitude desirable

    • Computer aptitude desirable

    • Ability to read and comprehend English instructions

    • Ability to operate a warehouse forklift

    • Clearly legible handwriting

    • Excellent organization and communication skills



    Working Conditions:

    This position involves both sedentary and physical work. The employee will work at a desk in a warehouse setting and move about the dealership facility to communicate with managers, employees, and customers. Lifting of at least 50 lbs. without assistance will be required.
