    Job DescriptionThe Hotel Zamora, a beautiful boutique hotel located in St. Pete Beach, FL, is seeking an experienced Houseperson.

    With stunning views overlooking the Intercoastal Waterway and Gulf of Mexico, the Hotel Zamora provides a luxurious retreat for its guests.

    Besides relaxing in the beautifully appointed guest rooms, our guests experience intuitive service in our Rooftop Lounge, Sidewalk Restaurant, Private Dining, and Meeting/Banquet space.

    The Hotel Zamora is under new ownership and management with Sherman Associates, an accomplished and proven real estate development and management company.

    Houseperson is responsible for the operations of cleaning rooms, public space cleaning, laundry production and other related areas of the hotel.

    Work closely with the Housekeeping Supervisor to cover days off and train staff, help with scheduling and other duties as assigned.

    RESPONSIBILITIESClean rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and carpet shampoo machineCleans rooms, hallways, and restroomsWashes walls and ceiling, moves furniture and turns mattressesSweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floorCollects soiled linen for launderingReceived linen supplies from floor shootsMaintains housekeeping cartsRemoves trash collected by room attendantsWalk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift to collect trash and linensPickup clean linen and refill the par stock of linen on each floor pantryDeliver towels, cribs, cots, and other items to the guests room upon requestsPerform duties of room attendant when necessarySort linen, stock room attendant closetsRefill the par stock of guest amenities and supplies on each floor pantryHelp the room attendants with heavy lifting when super cleaning/spring cleaning of roomsRemove soiled linen and trash from the pool side and other service area and take to appropriate locations in the prescribed mannerAssist room attendants with placing bed boards, roll-ways beds, extra bed, etc.

    Report missing/found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the housekeeping supervisorsRespond at all times in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other colleaguesOther duties as assigned by supervisorExperience and SkillsRequirementsNo prior housekeeping experience required; Customer service experience in the hospitality industry strongly preferredAbility to communicate effectively and follow directions in a multi-lingual environmentMust maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearanceA passion for the mission, vision, and values of Sherman AssociatesSchedule may vary due to the specific needs of the hotelEnsure compliance with brand standards, federal, state and local hotel laws regarding health and safety services
