    The Village at Penn State ~ located in State College, PA, is one of the area's premiere senior living communities and currently has an exciting opportunity for a *Part Time RN Supervisor *position.

    *Schedule Details
    • Part Time
    • 1- hour shifts
    • 2 days per week
    • 6:30pm - 7:00am
    *Job Responsibilities:
    • Provide nursing care according to physician orders and in conformance with recognized nursing practice, established standards and administrative policies.
    • Ensure preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services are provided to residents.
    • Assist in the coordination of nursing care with all resident care needs, as provided by other disciplines.
    • Make rounds with physicians, assist in examinations and/or treatment of residents and carry out all orders, accordingly.
    • Ability to assess residents and notify attending physician and responsible parties, if/ when changes occur with residents or their conditions.
    • Accurately administer prescribed medications, while supervising the continuity of nursing care. Follow up & respond to changes in medical conditions, medications, and/ or other circumstances requiring special care needs.
    • Perform first aid, when applicable and / or is required.
    • Provide daily supervision and leadership to assigned staff and other designated personnel, as it's related to ensuring the team is meeting residents' needs.
    • Must demonstrate good decision-making skills.
    • Participate in performance reviews, as applicable and assist with providing oral counseling of assigned staff, when necessary.
    • Ensure appropriate processes occur with all staff, with resident admissions to the community.
    • Ensure and protect residents' rights.
    • Identify deficiencies with and promote correction of problems, related to the provision of services for residents and address accordingly.
    • Assist with efforts to assess, plan, and evaluate staff development needs.
    *Requirements:
    • Minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing (Bachelors preferred).
    • Two (2) years experience working as a RN, including previous medical/surgical experience and knowledge of the needs of geriatric residents.
    • Knowledge of Federal and State regulations, as well as OBRA laws.
    • Ability to supervise, lead and coordinate nursing staff (Long-Term Care experience preferred).
    • State of PA license as a Registered Nurse.
    • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, maintain automobile insurance coverage, and have access to an automobile.
