    The Aquatics Director at SwimFun Academy & Survival Aquatics intentionally fosters a positive culture that is welcoming, genuine, hopeful, nurturing, and determined while also managing high-quality, member-focused aquatics programs.

    We are the first of its kind swim school model that offers an all-encompassing member experience – from Modernized Infant/Toddler Survival Aquatics to a Progressive Swim Academy – all in environment that focuses on Safety, Fun and Progression. We offer a STEM-Focused educational platform, a full "free play" Gaming Arena stocked with high-end Virtual Reality experiences, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch Consoles – all for waiting parents & siblings.

    Functions:

    1. Acts as lead instructor BOTH in and out of the pool. This encompasses all swim programs (Survival, Toddler Bridge & Swim Academy). This position specifically requires being in the pool instructing in addition to administrative duties.

    1B. Spearheads and leads all facility management duties as well as internal/external communications with members/families, staff and ownership.

    2. Follows SwimFun business model & offerings and ensures programs/services meet SwimFun Academy member needs to include overseeing existing program activities, establishing new program activities, and expanding programs as needed.

    3. Monitors daily pool operations to adhere to all state, local and safety regulations and conducts and ensures proper maintenance of pool. Maintains accurate records of pool chemical levels and facility maintenance. Partner/assist SwimFun's commercial pool operator/vendor where needed.

    4. Develops existing instructional staff and onboards new hires.

    5. Models relationship-building skills in all interactions. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with staff, member parents, children and partner vendors. Maintains regular, clear, and concise communication within area of responsibility.

    6. Manages swim academy programs, academy staff schedules and monitors member progress through parent interactions and bi-monthly progress reports.

    7. Opens & Closes facility on certain days.

    This position requires evening and weekend hours. No exceptions will be made.

    QUALIFICATIONS: ● Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience. Bachelors preferred. ● One to two years related experience preferred (e.g., as an aquatics coordinator, supervisor, lead swim instructor). ● Minimum age of 21. ● Completion of aquatics training and trainer certifications. ● Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community. ● Impactful written & communication skill-set. ● Experience with Internet-Based Class & Member-Management platforms
