About the role:
As a Software Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while creating innovative fintech products that revolutionize the ways in which the world makes payments, banks, and invests. This will involve developing core versions of software applications, understanding client needs and technical specifications, collaborating with engineering teams, and educating clients on applications.

About the team:

Billing and Funding at Worldpay has developed a pricing and billing engine utilizing big-data technology. We are nearing the completion of the initial phase of an exciting journey to revamp our primary payments platform for enhanced cost-effectiveness, scalability, and readiness for cloud adoption. The next stage involves transitioning to the cloud, making our software cloud native, our infrastructure code-based, and leveraging CI/CD to accelerate our delivery process.

What you will be responsible for:

• Designing, coding, debugging, and adapting software enhancements.

• Collaborating with product managers and users to specify requirements and alterations.

• Participating in software design meetings to establish technical needs.

• Coordinating with internal Client Training, Client Relationship, and Sales teams.

What you need:

Experience in constructing enterprise level applications on AWS
Familiarity with Functional programming in Java and Data Structures
Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, particularly: IAM, EMR Serverless, Fargate, S3, and CloudWatch
Background in developing applications with integrated CI/CD for regular and dependable software deliveries
Strong comprehension of CI/CD practices, principles, and basics. i.e. Infrastructure as code with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
Exceptional communication skills and a willingness to share knowledge

Additional advantage if you possess:

Experience with Spark
Familiarity with VPC, EC2 ELB, Auto-Scaling (including Groups), Route53, Lambda, ECS, CloudFormation, and DynamoDB would be beneficial
