    Job Description

    We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in inventory management, and maintaining a well-organized warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    Supply Chain Manager

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Receive incoming shipments, and verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders.
    • Inspect and record the condition of received goods, identifying any discrepancies or damages.
    • Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to established procedures, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
    • Generate shipping labels, documentation, and other required paperwork for outgoing orders.
    • Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems or manual logs.
    • Organize and maintain the warehouse space to optimize efficiency and accessibility.
    • Assist in inventory counts and audits as required.
    • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

    Required Skills and Abilities

    • Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.
    • Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role or similar warehouse environment preferred.
    • Automotive parts knowledge preferred.
    • Team-minded with an always willing-to-help attitude.
    • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive.
    • Demonstrated consistency, accuracy, and follow-through.
    • Ability to safely operate a forklift and parts picker.
    • Ability to work overtime as needed.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to work.
    • Background check and pre-employment drug screening required.

    Education and Experience:

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Previous experience in a logistics role
    • Experience working with an inventory management software
    • QuickBooks knowledge is preferred

    Physical Demands (to include but not limited to)

    • Must be able to lift, carry, and place merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance.
    • Wear required Personal Protection Equipment.
    • Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment including computers, office equipment, telephones, parts pickers, forklifts, etc.
    • Frequent standing and walking for long periods of time.
    • Must be able to navigate through various departments of the organization's physical premises.
    • Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
    • Ability to work in hot or cold temperatures for long periods of time.
    • Safely operate a motor vehicle.
